The adult drake FERRUGINOUS DUCK was showing very well from the second hide, with Northern Pochard numbers increased to 103. An adult Mute Swan and 71 Mallards were also present, along with 14 roosting Cormorants (the recent ringed male being ringed as a nestling in the colony at De Oostvaardersplassen, near Lelystad, The Netherlands, in June).
The pre-roost gathering of gulls contained 206 Lesser Black-backed and 9 Herrings.
A Grey Wagtail was on the scrape.
