TURTLE DOVE at Calvert

With the wind dropping and feeling warmer fancied finding a few migrants but still hard work!! Still think lots still to come including the commoner species.

Quainton Hills; base of North slopes- 1 Grey Partridge on roadside, never seen one here before.

Calvert; Greeted by lovely sound of a European Turtle Dove purring on the BBOWT reserve/ 16 Common Terns on rafts/ pair of Gadwall/ Cuckoo

Hillesden; Cuckoo + usual suspects.

Quainton Hills; base of South slopes- 1 Wheatear spotted high up on ridge (Tim Watts)
